I Lost That Recipe!

I can't remember my oatmeal recipe! Was it, 1 part water, 1 part milk, 1 part oats, a dash of salt, little cinnamon, and some honey, in a pot on low heat slowly warmed and stirred until ready?

This reminds me of this song:

Mac Arthur Park by Donna Summer

This same song, Mac Arthur Park also performed by Richard Harris.

So, is it Checkers or Chinese Checkters or does it matter?

How sad that the new generation, perhaps, only remembers him by his most current roles in Harry Potter as Albus Dumbledore!

Camelot:

With Vanessa Redgrave:

As Professor Dumbledore:

On a totally unrelated subject but somehow a ubiquitous nagging in my head to include it here, I present to you:

Who Moved My Cheese? a “Self-Improvement” book that has nothing to do with cheese, but a lot with your mind that I was once asked to read to help learn to cope and resolve challenges arising from working with and managing people.

Salam Bijan!

What a fun post this is! You know, I was a college student at the height of Donna Summer's career, when the whole nation was burning in Disco Fever! I have danced to all her songs, I believe, though perhaps I can't remember too much about what I did during those years! Hee Hee! I do remember Richard Harris as an actor, but I was too young then (increasingly I get to say that last phrase less and less, you realize!).

I hope you had a good Christmas Bijan. Take care.

Chakameh: Hi! I'm looking forward to that challenge & your comments along the way. Thank you, but how are you going to afford the time with your busy schedule? ;)
Nilofar: Hello and thank you for stopping by too. I was just being facetious :)
Nazy: Hi! Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment. You are right Richard Harris is before my time too. But I do remember him in some of the most recent ones & I bet you have seen him in some of his most recent movies. How about Gladiator or Patriot Games? Did you see those? If not you should see Gladiator. Russell Crow is great in that and the movie won 5 Academy Awards including the best picture.
Here is a few of his movies and roles in his long & illustrious career:
Guns of Navarone (1961)
Mutiny on the Bounty (1962)
The Bible (1966)
Camelot (1967) as King Arthur
A Man Called Horse (1970) this one I did see & remember him in it
Tarzan, the Ape Man (1981) with beautiful & stunning Bo Dereck
Patriot Games (1992? was this that long ago?) with Harrison Ford as writer Tom Clancy’s Dr. Jack Ryan
Gladiator (2000) as Marcus Aurelius (Director Ridley Scott and stars Joaquin Phoenix & Russel l Crowe)
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001) as Albus Dumbledorn
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) as Albus Dumbledorn
